PADI Open Water Diver Course (OW)

PADI Open Water Diver Course (OW)
This course is for people with no or little experience of diving and is designed to certify them to a basic level of competency allowing them to use SCUBA equipment unsupervised. We offer the course in a variety of different languages. We start courses daily.
To do the PADI Open Water course with us you need only 3 to 4 days, we take a maximum of 4 students per instructor. With such small groups we have enough time for each of the students to prepare them well before they venture on our dive boat to explore our beautiful reefs. The reason we say that the course is 3 to 4 days, is that if it takes you longer to feel comfortable underwater we can extend the course, giving you more time in the confined water before venturing to the open water dives.
On arriving on Koh Nangyuan the students are given a run down of the course, book and videos. All of the rooms have VCD players so preferably the student can watch the video the night before they actually start. By doing this it saves a lot of time in the class room. Which makes classroom time shorter and we can blow bubbles sooner.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. we will spend the morning in the classroom where we introduce you to the equipment and prepare you for your first breaths underwater. And then we start assembling the equipment doing our safety checks and then its time to get wet.
Confined Water Training for the confined water training we do this straight off the beach in our sheltered, natural lagoon. We start off in very shallow water where you will first get used to breathing air under water and get the trust in the equipment before we gradually move to deeper water. As a preparation there are quite a few skills to do but in the end good buoyancy control and proper breathing counts most. If everything works out we should be finished by 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon. On the 2nd day we start at 8:30 a.m. and finish the theory, after a break we do the final exam while the theory is fresh. In the afternoon we do our first 2 training dives off the beach to a maximum of 12 meters.
On the last day we meet at 8:00 a.m. and go out on our dive boat and do the last 2 open water dives to a maximum of 18 meters. We come back at 12:00 pm and sit down and fill out our log books and do the final certification. Yippee you’re an Open Water diver.
The course fee is 9,800 baht and there is no additional cost. All of the equipment will be provided from us and included in the price is: knowledge development confined water training, 4 open water dives, the manual, 1 day on the boat your log book and of course your certificate which is world wide recognized and valid for life.
